At Social Sewing classes everyone is welcome! If you're a complete beginner I'll show you how to set up a sewing machine and then you'll learn as you go by getting stuck into your first project right away. You'll need to bring fabric and sewing machine thread, but I'll help you plan and source a project before your first class. You can bring your own machine to learn on, or use one of the class machines.

If you have some experience I'll help you build your confidence and increase or refine your sewing skill-set. Get in touch to discuss what you'd like to get out of your classes. I can help you with dressmaking, home decor sewing, or bags/accessories. I can also get you started with quilting, free-motion embroidery or toy making. Due to space, we can't work on anything too big so no curtains or blinds for example.

Classes are very sociable, and there will always be some home-baked treats with a hot drink. Book one class, or a few. Some people come regularly, others just book occasionally so do whatever works for you. If you have any questions please email: jenny@needleswift.com

Social Sewing - Thursdays and Fridays 10am-1pm

Please note that if you need to reschedule or cancel a booked class, I can only do this with 14 days notice. If you need to cancel with less notice than this I'll do my best to fill the space, and if I can do that I'll offer a refund of or a credit. Thanks for your understanding - this enables me to keep classes running without disappointing others, or making a financial loss myself.

This policy is in accordance with the Consumer Contracts Regulations, where an individual course with limited capacity taking place on a specific date is classed as a leisure activity, where you are not entitled to a refund for late cancellation.
