Friday 15th June – 10-2.30 FULLY BOOKED
Friday 22nd June – 10-2.30
Dressmaking days are back! Pick one, or come to both. Dressmaking classes are limited to just 3 students so you’ll have plenty of assistance, and space to cut and sew. Bring any project you like, or get in touch to ask for advice. Here are some options to tempt you:
- Sew an on-trend pair of culottes, or a simple skirt – ask me for pattern suggestions!
- Practise your techniques on simple calico: perhaps you’d like to learn to sew welt pockets or perfect your zip insertion?
- If you’re a complete beginner just come along and rummage through the patterns – I’ll talk you through what all those lines and markings mean, teach you to measure yourself and you could practise sewing bust darts among other things.
- Bring a more ambitious pattern and make a calico ‘toile’ to get the fit right before sewing for real.
To get the best out of your day/s please let me know in advance what you will be sewing. Please note that there is no guarantee to finish your chosen project – dressmaking takes time! You can always finish of at a Social Sewing session.
Sewing machines provided, or bring your own if you prefer.
